Melting Moments

Ingredients
1 cup real butter
2 cups powdered sugar, divided
1 ¼ cups flour
¾ cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons orange juice, grated peel optional

Directions
Cream butter and ½ cup powdered sugar until fluffy. Beat
in flour and cornstarch until mixed. Wrap and refrigerate
until ready to make cookies. Roll into 1” balls. Place on
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 325º, 25 min. Cool slightly
and remove to rack. Mix remaining 1 ½ cups powdered
sugar with orange juice until right consistency to spoon
over cookies and drip onto pan under rack. Use a spatula
to scoop up glaze and continue to use. I often add a little
Tang or use concentrated orange juice to make a stronger
orange flavor in the glaze.

Lime Cookies: I add ¼ tsp. lime oil to the dough and use
fresh lime juice to make the glaze for the cookies. If you
can’t find lime oil use grated lime peel in the dough.
