Scones

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons yeast
1/2 Cup water
2 Cups milk
1/2 Cup shortening
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup dry potato flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
about 6 Cups flour

Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Heat milk, shortening , salt and sugar. Add to yeast along with egg. Add potato flakes, baking powder, soda, and flour. Let rise until double. Roll our and cut into pieces of about 3"x3" and fry. I let them sit and rise again after I cute them sometimes but you don't have to.
